New Year, New Happiness & New Adjustments in DCL The Game!


As we enter the new year, we are pleased to announce some exciting adjustments to DCL The Game. To ensure that the trials fit better with our championship, they will now last for six months, with two trial splits in one year.

UPDATED POINTS SYSTEM FOR TRIALS REWARDS

Multiplayer rewards:

In the ‘Flow’ part of multiplayer:
1st:              5 points
2nd:            3 points
3rd:             1 point
4th – 8th:    0 points

Consecutive podium finish rewards for Flow have been disabled whilst the feature is being re-designed to address a design exploit.

 

In the ‘Race’ part of multiplayer:
1st:   20  Points
2nd:  15  Points
3rd:   10  Points
4th:   5    Points
5th:   3    Points
6th:   2    Points
7th:   1    Points
8th:   0    Points

 

Trials Event Rewards:

Linearly scaled from 1st – 250th gets between 50 and 1000 points (1st getting 1000), with everyone outside the top 250 getting 50 points for participating.

We no longer ignore the player performances outside the top 5 event performances; all trials event participation counts towards the total season score.

Additional Notes:

Previous season points used to count towards the current season leaderboard, this is still the case but now the current season leaderboard will only add on the previous season’s total earned points / 100. All other previous seasons are ignored.
