GPS Mode

GPS mode is how most of the camera drones are controlled. It’s very easy and the drone is nearly autonomous. It’s not recommended for racing or freestyle, as speed and agility are very limited. On the other hand, it’s great if you want to practice your piloting skills for filming!

If you’re new to it, we recommend to try it out in freeflight mode on the Laax environment: you will have a wide space to practice. You can switch to GPS mode using the menu.

In general, GPS mode is highly automated. If you don’t give any input, the drone will simply stop and float stable where you leave it. You can turn around if you move the left stick left or right. Also, you can gain or lose altitude if you move the left stick upwards. Use the right stick to move the drone forward, backward and sideways. Feel free to fly around and explore the environments, there’s plenty of interesting things to discover and the more you fly the more safely you will be able to pilot your camera drones!
