It has landed: Time for Patch 1.04 (Open Beta)


It’s been a while since we’ve released an update, but we promise it was worth the wait. Welcome everyone to Patch 1.04, now available on Steam as Open Beta.

IMPORTANT! This is an opt in open Beta version: to access it go to your Steam library, right-click on DCL the game, properties, go to the Betas tab, enter the code dclthegameopenbeta and select the beta from the drop-down menu.

Remember, this is still a Beta version we’re trying to perfect. It will go on for approximately a month before its official release, followed by PS4 and Xbox One afterward.

We are also releasing the DCL Track Editor today!

It will allow you to create amazing custom Racetracks in any of the maps of DCL the Game. We can’t wait to fly your creations!

Here are the most important changes included in the 1.04 open Beta:

CONTENT

  • Switzerland 2020 environment + 5 tracks
  • China 2020 environment + 5 tracks
  • New drone skins: FALCONS, DRONESPORTS2020, FLY N HIGH, TEAM 80, SHINY, STORM, FIRE, RFXFPV
  • Many new objects available for custom tracks

TRACK EDITOR

RACEFLOW

  • Unranked custom raceflow (admin controls to a player to change tracks, restart races, etc)
  • Server browser
  • Custom tracks support
  • Customizable delay (display the other drones more smoothly but less accurately and vice-versa)

SPECTATOR MODE

  • Sounds support added
  • Improved name tags
  • Improved race hud

EVENTS

  • Limited attempts + unlimited training available
  • End of event timer

MISCELLENIOUS

  • Most settings are now available from the in-game menu while racing
  • Option to mute the sound of the other drones
  • Gamepad configuration options (dead-zones and invert)
  • Numerous bug-fixes
  • Improved anti-cheat systems
  • Improved error messages
  • Support for private tournaments
